Caia Park Partnership

Caia Park Partnership (CPP) is a community led organisation that works with individuals, communities and partner organisations in Caia Park and Wrexham-wide to provide activities, services and facilities that meet identified community needs. The ambition of CPP is to enable people and communities to achieve their potential. Their standing in the community and their delivery of Youth provision both in Central Wrexham, on behalf of WCBC, and surrounding areas for local Community Councils makes them ideal for those seeking volunteering opportunities in community-based Youth Work.

WCBC Play & Youth Support Team

The Play & Youth Support Team play projects and youth provision run across the county in a variety of settings. From a container in Coedpoeth to a field in Brymbo, or a Green Flag park in Rhosllanerchrugog to a school field in Acrefair. Play sessions usually take place outside and the facilities available depend on the individual setting.

The Land, Plas Madoc

Described as perhaps “the perfect” or “coolest” adventure playground, The Land has been open since 2011 and is a traditional “junk playground”. Operated by the Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham (AVOW), The Land is part of a collection of play provision on the Plas Madoc estate in the south of Wrexham including ‘Street Play’ and ‘Get Out and Play’.

The Venture I.C.C.

The Venture is an Integrated Children’s Centre based in Caia Park with 40 years experience in playwork and working with the local community. They have a flourishing Early Years Centre, alternative education programme and independent Youth Club.

The 1.3 acre adventure playground at The Venture is the perfect place to volunteer to gain experience in playwork but there are many more opportunities for participation across the organisation. The Venture is also home to the WYPP office.
